Any owner of property in the City who violates Section 11.20.010 or 11.20.030, or who resists or obstructs the City in the removal of snow and ice from the City streets, sidewalks, and rights-of-way, shall be guilty of a civil infraction and shall be subject to a civil monetary penalty consistent with C-16 (not less than forty dollars ($40.00)). Each day the owner continues to violate this chapter shall be considered a separate offense subject to the foregoing civil penalty. If the civil penalty is not paid by the owner to the City within thirty (30) days of notice of civil infraction, the City may collect the civil penalty by commencing an action in the Grant County Superior Court. In any such action the City shall be entitled to recover, in addition to the civil penalty, its costs and reasonable attorney fees. [Ord. 2023-07 § 1, October 2023.]
