The department heads shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and the City Council. The Mayor may recommend removal, with or without cause, of any of the department heads listed above. Such recommendation shall require the confirmation of a majority vote of the whole Council before becoming effective. The Mayor shall have the power to suspend any of the above listed department heads pending a vote by the City Council upon the Mayor’s recommendation of removal. [Ord. 2019-07 § 1, November 2019.]
