A. The City hereby imposes an Excise Tax on each sale of real property in it's corporate limits for a City Tax at the rate of one-quarter (1/4) of one percent (1%) of the sales price.

B. The revenues obtained from this tax shall be expended pursuant to Chapter RCW 82.46. Said tax shall be imposed upon any person, firm or corporation selling real estate within the City limits of the City of George.

C. The tax levied by this ordinance is an obligation of the seller and the obligation imposed may be enforced through an action of debt against the seller or in the manner prescribed for foreclosure of mortgages. Resort to course of enforcement is not an election not to pursue the other.
