A pedestrian crosswalk right-of-way not less than fifteen feet wide shall be provided approximately at the midpoint of any block exceeding six hundred feet in length, or in any block of lesser length where such a crosswalk is deemed essential, to provide circulation or access to schools, playgrounds, shopping centers, transportation lines and other community facilities. An approved wheelchair ramp will be installed.
