A. Any person who violates any provision of this chapter by damage to city owned device, hydrants or water lines shall be punished by a civil penalty of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) together with all penalties and assessments. The violator shall further be responsible for all costs to repair and/or replace the damaged city property.

B. Any person found to have altered the reading on the city’s metering device shall be deemed to have committed a civil infraction and be subject to a non-suspendable, non-deferrable penalty of one thousand dollars ($1,000) together with all penalties and assessments. The violator shall further be responsible for all costs to repair and/or replace the damaged city property. Such person shall be prohibited from further purchases of bulk water from the city.

C. Any person found to have violated the city’s policy to prevent and avoid cross connections of the city’s potable water supply shall be deemed to have committed a civil infraction and be subject to a non-suspendable, non-deferrable penalty of one thousand dollars ($1,000) together with all penalties and assessments. The violator shall further be responsible for all costs to repair and/or replace the damaged city property. Such person shall be prohibited from further purchases of bulk water from the city.
