12.08.160 Effective dates.
A. All properties connected to the sewer system shall pay a sewer service rate for the month of connection no matter the date upon which the connection is made.
B. All properties within the city required to be connected to the sewer system shall be so connected on or before October 1, 1998.
C. The following penalties shall attach to any person failing to connect to the sewer system or failing to decommission an onsite sewage disposal system. These penalties shall be imposed via the utility billing process except where a property does not receive a utility billing, then a separate notice and bill shall be sent. Any unpaid penalties shall bear interest at twelve per cent per year. These fees shall be per Equivalent Residential Unit.
1. Failing to connect to the sewer system by October 1, 1998: $500 penalty and all costs of connection, including indirect costs, if city is required to make connection
4. Failing to decommission an onsite sewage disposal system by October 1, 1998: $250 penalty and all costs of decommissioning, including indirect costs, if city is required to perform decommissioning [Ord. 2000-01, April 2000; Ord. 1998-01, March 1998; Ord. 1997-13, November 1997.]
