The city of George municipal water system is the water system for the city of George and connection to the system for water service is mandatory. No other purveyor of water service, potable or otherwise, shall be permitted to provide water service within the city. Provided withdrawals of public water in compliance with chapter 12.30 will be permitted; and provided further, the delivery of water from a duly formed and operating irrigation district of this state shall not be impaired.
